Monitoring Institute for Rare Breeds and Seeds in Europe

 

We acquire basic data for the securing and long-term conservation of genetic resources in European agriculture. Recording and characterization of biodiversity in agriculture. Continuous watching of the population of endangered breeds and varieties. Supervision of work of third parties. Assessment of the efficiency of the measures being taken. Autochthonous breeds of cattle, donkey, ass, buffalo, sheep, goat, pig, horse, chicken, poultry and local varieties of fruit, vegetable, corn, crop, berry, berries we care for. We are active in Europe, especially in East and South Europe, in the Alps, Balkan, the Carpathians and Italy. We collaborate with animal and nature protection, biosphere reserve, nature park, open air museum and others.
